HRV Engineering, in co-operation with Hatch, is in charge of the ISAL Production Upgrade –Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) services.
The plant's operational reliability will be increased with upgrade and installation of new HV equipment and rectifiers, plant production is increased 40,000 tpy with an amperage increase calling for upgrade of the two potlines, bath recycling plant, rodding shop, two new additional Gas Treatment Centers (GTC’s), alumina handling and general plant infrastructure.
The output is also changed from rolling slabs to extrusion billets with required modification of casting equipment and installation of three new continuous homogenizing furnaces.
